Pasta Sauce

We made 4 different pasta sauces for our parent appreciation dinner. Spicy and mild meat sauces, and spicy and mild veggie sauces

The recipes were a little bit improvised by the many K-Bot chefs, but the basic instructions are as follows:

Meat Sauce (serves 30+ people)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Saute the onions in vegetable oil.
  2. Brown the meat.
  3. Combine meat and onions in a pot with tomato sauce.
  4. Add vegetables and garlic
  5. Season to taste. (Add lots of chili powder for the spicy variety)

Veggie Sauce (serves 30+ people)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Combine the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes in a pot.
  2. Add onions, vegetables and garlic.
  3. Season to taste. (Add lots of chili powder for the spicy variety)
  4. Add TVP which will soak up any extra liquid, and will give the texture of meat, and add protein to the dish.
